Head Marketing, Retail Business at Tata Steel
Mridula Shekhar is working with Tata Steel and is responsible for Retail Business of Global Wires India Business.
A science graduate and an MBA, she has created a place for herself in the steel industry with expertise in B2C & Rural marketing. She joined Tata Steel in 2002 as a Management trainee and worked in the Raw materials division prior to moving to wires business of Tata Steel.
Currently, she is responsible for all strategy and marketing activities for midstream as well as downstream business of the division. As Head of marketing she is responsible for 40 % of the revenue of the division. She has super headed the launch of the first super premium brand of the company in a commodity industry. In her current stint, Mridula has worked in enabling the Global Wires India business to adopt the “Net Promoter System” model to drive customer centricity in its Rural business.
She has held various roles in the areas of Strategic planning, sales management and business development.. She is also very closely associated with the Business Excellence journey of the company.
